Drake Cancels Headlining Show at Wireless Festival

‘Started From the Bottom’ rapper, Drake, made an announcement on Thursday that he will no longer be able to headline this weekend’s Wireless Festival due to illness.

This year’s festival, celebrating it’s 10th anniversary, is set to take place at Finsbury Park in London and Perry Park in Birmingham. Kanye West is now schedule to headline three sets to make up for Drake’s cancellation.

“To my beloved fans, it truly breaks my break that I won’t be able to perform as planned at Wireless and Riskilde (in Denmark) this week,” Drake’s statement explained, adding that his doctors specifically instructed that he’s not “physically fit to fly or deliver the performance my fans expect.”

West will fill Drake’s Saturday evening slot. Rudimental, who were scheduled to perform before Drake in Birmingham on Friday, will perform an extended set alongside a yet to be announced special guest.

The Wireless festival also welcomes Pharrell Williams, Iggy Azalea, Wiz Khalifa, Bruno Mars, Outkast, and many others this year.
