Female Israeli Soldiers Admonished for Posting “Unbecoming” Photos on Facebook

A group of female Israeli soldiers have been disciplined by the IDF after posting a racy picture of themselves in their underwear onto Facebook.
The four women, who are new army recruits, are shown modeling thongs after dropping their army trousers, and is the latest occurrence where Israeli military has had to discipline its soldiers due to a social media incident.
After garnering much attention online, and collecting several “likes” and supportive comments, the picture was then received by Israel’s commanding officers, whose comments regarding the photo were less than enthusiastic. The officers then gave strict educational lectures to the young women about professional conduct, and disciplined them in “a manner they saw fit.”
The Times Of Israel has since reported that that the images have been widely reported in Arab media, with the photos heavily censored in most cases.
An IDF spokesman has confirmed that the women will not be expelled from the army, and have only begun undergoing basic training at an infantry training school in southern Israel at the time.
Earlier this year, another soldier was reprimanded for writing anti-Palestinian tweets and posting disagreeable pictures online.
