Standing with Israel, from Around the World

Campaigns on social media continue to spring up, (yesterday a campaign began where Israeli women are posing with much of their clothes off to show their support with Israel) and now there's another page that asks people to send in photos to display their support of the Holy Land, though, not ones that are scantily clad.

A non-profit Israeli advocacy organization, StandWithUs, has embarked on a new campaign called "Standing with Israel Around the World," asking for individuals from across the globe to send in photos of their passports.

As several flights to Israel from Europe, Canada and the U.S. were on hold for nearly two days, it gave Israeli and non-Israeli residents alike a chance to utilize their passports. Eventually, hundreds of photos were sent in, with people writing "I Stand With Israel" on their hands.

Thus far, nearly 1,000 people from approximately 100 countries have participated in this Facebook movement, from the United States, France, Australia, Germany, Canada, Ukraine, South Africa, Brazil, Georgia, Turkey, India, China and, also, Pakistan, Indonesia and Iran.

“The battle for public opinion and support is Israel’s second frontline," said Michael Dickson, the Director at StandWithUs. "This creative campaign allows people to show their support for Israel and is a huge boost for Israelis who are living under fire and are sending their young people to the frontline,” he said.

One Egyptian posted a video of himself onto the site where he says, “My name is Adam. I am an Egyptian Zionist. I support Israel against the terrorist Hamas. I recognize the Jewish State of Israel and its united capital Jerusalem.”
