Well this is an interesting piece of news, isn't it?

There have been hundreds, if not thousands, of speculations, theories and rumors regarding the Roswell, New Mexico, UFO crash of 1947, many of which concern aliens, alien spacecrafts, and other ideas regarding extraterrestrial life.

After all, we did all see Independence Day.

But according to a German film called UFOS and the Third Reich, which may or may not ever see the light of day, the crash was not at all a result of aliens from another planet, but, in fact, a result of top secret Nazi technology, and an aircraft called the "Bell" (see above).

As reported by OpenMinds.tv, the events that transpired in the small town 67 years ago, when some sort of "something" crashed on a ranch near Roswell, was caused by the 'Bell,' developed by scientists aligned with The Third Reich.

The film suggests that the bell-shaped craft - ten feet wide, and 12 feet high - is an anti-gravity aircraft that combined rocket and helicopter technology, and was created by Nazi Germany. In 1943, the aircraft somehow found its way to U.S. authorities, who continued to develop the project.

When the U.S. authorities were "testing" the Bell, it crashed, and thus, the Roswell UFO conspiracy theories began.

"This is what I saw, with my own eyes -- a Nazi UFO," Georg Klein, a German aeronautical engineer, allegedly says in UFOs and the Third Reich. "I don't consider myself a crackpot or eccentric or someone given to fantasies."

The Huffington Post claims that the film will focus on Joseph Andreas Epp, a German engineer who worked on a UFO project and was experienced in "saucer-shaped" vehicles.

"The wing blades would be allowed to rotate freely as the saucer moved forward, as in an auto-gyrocopter," Epp said. "In all probability, the wing blades speed -- and so, their lifting value -- could also be increased by directing the adjustable horizontal jets slightly upwards to engage the blades, thus spinning them faster at the digression [sic] of the pilot."

If what Epp says is true, which would render descriptions from Americans who said they saw alien-like occupants in the aircraft, then it is the Bell UFO that caused the crash in Roswell, bringing, finally, an end to all those damn conspiracy theories, and one step backwards in the hunt for aliens and extraterrestrial creatures. That's one more mystery solved.

Now all we have to do is find 2pac and Biggie's murderers.
