Would you let your child snuggle with a Gene Simmons stuffed animal at night? I would… but it’s easy for me to say that because I don’t have children. Luckily, I don’t believe these plushies are being marketed to our youth. They will simply be a new addition to every KISS fans memorabilia collection.

FUNKO has announced that they plan to release a new line of plush dolls on September 7^th. The line will have four dolls: Gene Simmons ‘The Demon’, Paul Stanley ‘The Starchild’, Ace Frehley ‘The Spaceman’, and Peter Criss ‘The Catman’.

These characters are based on the band members’ self-appointed names, which were displayed on stage through makeup and costumes. The band explains that the fans ultimately chose their respective makeup designs.

The ‘Demon’ makeup displays Simmons cynicism and dark elements. The ‘Starchid’ reflects Stanley’s romantic side and tendency to be a “starry-eyed lover”. ‘The ‘Spaceman’ depicts Frehley’s want to visit space and also refers to a joke about him being from another world. Lastly, The ‘Catman” refers to Criss’ nine lives. The musician had a rough childhood, and everyone that knew him joked that he had nine lives like a cat.

The dolls are 7” tall, are already available for pre-order at www.entertainmentearth.com, and retail for $10.99-$12.99.
