Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, Streisand Compete in Firefox Charity Challenge
Firefox has pitted celebs against each other to win money for their charities
All celebrities involved are using Crowdrise, a website founded by Edward Norton that uses crowd sourcing for charitable purposes. They are also offering weekly prizes and giveaways in order to encourage potential donors to get involved in their cause.
Jonah Hill has chosen to support “Nothing But Nets”, an organization that supplies mosquito nets to those in danger of contracting malaria in Africa. Everyone that donates to his cause will automatically be entered for a chance to win a t-shirt and a personalized Jonah Hill voice mail recording.
Paul Rudd is raising funds for “Rolling Dog Farm”, a charity both him and his father share a passion for. The organization rescues disabled animals and provides a “safe and loving home”.
Seth Rogen has chosen to raise money for his “Hilarity for Charity” event that supports Alzheimer’s, and Barbra Streisand is accepting donations for her “Barbra Streisand Women’s Cardiovascular Research and Education Program” at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.
Other celebs involved are; Zooey Deschanel, Jason Bateman, Will Ferrell, and Charlie Sheen.
Contest ends January 11, 2012.
