Willie Nelson Rejects Roseanne’s VP Offer
Roseanne Barr plans to unveil her Vice-Presidential choice this Saturday at the Green Party’s Presidential debate, but unfortunately it won’t be country legend/environmentalist, Willie Nelson, as we all hoped.
Barr has posted repeatedly on Twitter expressing interest in having Willie Nelson join her on the ticket.
After being ignored for quite a while, Nelson finally responded to Barr’s offer.
“Thank you but no thank you. Good luck to you!” Nelson wrote on Twitter Tuesday.
We’re not sure if this was Nelson’s attempt to shut Roseanne up, or if he genuinely supports her efforts and just isn’t interested in politics.
Either way, Barr seemed to be grateful that she received any answer at all.
“Is this an actual response? I sure appreciate it. Good luck to you too, Willie!,” Barr tweeted.
So who will Barr’s VP be? I guess we have to wait until Saturday to find out. Barr will also be finding out next weekend whether or not her NBC pilot, Downwardly Mobile, co-starring John Goodman will be ordered to series.
