Jordan Farmer has signed with Turkey's Anadolu Efes

After being traded by the National Basketball Association’s Brooklyn Nets (formerly New Jersey) to the Atlanta Hawks on July 11, 2012, Jewish point guard Jordan Farmar asked to be bought out of his NBA contract to pursue an opportunity with Turkey’s Anadolu Efes team.

And, shortly after being waived by the Hawks, Farmer, who was traded to Atlanta along with, Anthony Morrow, Jordan Williams, Johan Petro, DeShawn Stevenson and a 2013 first round draft pick, got his wish.

The Star Ledger of New Jersey has reported that Farmar, who played for Maccabi Tel Aviv last summer while NBA players were locked-out, signed a three year contract with the Turkish team.

During his playing time in Israel, Farmar remarked that he was very excited to go to Tel Aviv, because his step-father is from the city, he spent time there as a child, and he said it is a beautiful beach city.
