eBay User Mistakes Jewish Symbol For “Vintage Navajo Moose”
Chai pendant advertised as Native American art
By: Ashley Baylen
Apparently eBay users do not take reliability or cultural awareness into consideration when rewarding feedback. “alwaysbelisting” has a 99.8% positive feedback rating on eBay…. And he just sold a Chai pendant advertised as a “Vintage Navajo Moose.”
Chai, meaning “Life” in Hebrew, is a popular symbol worn on necklaces. I did extensive research and am yet to stumble upon the elusive “Vintage Navajo Moose.” If you find a sample, please send it my way.
The question remains- will the buyer of this pendant be disappointed that he was duped, or did he find the listing just as amusing as our staff? Either way, the “925 Sterling Silver Pendant, Mariking 0.8 grams “sold for $5.50, so no great loss has been felt by either party. Just great entertainment.
