Bob Dylan Releases Surprisingly Violent Music Video [VIDEO]
Bob Dylan’s much-anticipated album, ‘Tempest’, will not be available until September 11th, but a new music video for the single ‘Duquesne Whistle’ is already available, and might give us a sneak preview into what to expect from the folk legend’s newest release.
The music video for ‘Duquesne Whistle’ begins with a comedic feel, following a young man who is attempting to impress a woman he notices on the street. The video takes an unexpected turn when our protagonist gets throw into a van, tied to a chair, and violently attacked.
‘Duquesne Whistle’ was directed by Nash Edgerton, who previously worked with Dylan on ‘Must Be Santa Claus’ and ‘Beyond Here Lies Nothin’.
Edgerton is also known for his fantastic stunts in the ‘Matrix’ series and ‘Star Wars’ prequels.
Dylan himself does not get involved in the violent acts, but is instead shown walking the dark streets with an entourage comprised of a motley crew of characters.
