Jonathan Lipnicki

The adorable little boy the world fell in love with 15 years ago is all grown up… but still adorable as ever.

Jonathan Lipnicki skyrocketed to fame at the age of 5 as Renee Zellweger’s son in Jerry Maguire. The successful child actor followed up his celebrity-making role with lead parts in Stuart Little & Stuart Little 2, Like Mike, and The Little Vampire. Lipnicki’s films grossed nearly $750 million dollars. He was great for the box office, but also critically acclaimed. Before he reached 10 years old, he won awards from the Broadcast Film Critics Association, The Young Artist Awards, and the Young Star Awards.

Before Lipnicki hit his teens, he seemed to have disappeared from the spotlight. He did! Lipnicki made the intentional decision to pursue life as a “normal teenager”. He attended public school, graduated with his friends, attended prom, played water polo, and began pursuing his second great passion (next to acting), Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.

Lipnicki couldn’t stay away from the entertainment industry entirely though. Throughout his teens, he guest-starred on Monk, Family Guy, and Glen Martin DDS, in addition to appearing in theater productions and award-winning indie films.

This is a huge year for Lipnicki. 2012 has celebrated the release of his latest films For the Love of Money & Tag, and his starring role in the web series Motherf*cker. Lipnicki has appeared in notable theater productions A Mixed Tape and The Lieutenant of Inishmore, alongside Chris Pine, and is the main character in Brawlin’, a new graphic novel.

Lipnicki joined SL to talk about all of his latest projects, his first gig as executive producer, and his tattoo of the Star of David.
