Chicago attorney Daniel Pomerantz, an Israeli immigrant, has negotiated the rights to publish an Israeli version of Playboy magazine. Although no launch date has been set, the Hebrew version will be available both online and in print, and will finally solve the biggest problem that Israeli men face today… being able to read the articles in Playboy.

“We went to Hefner’s estate with the Israeli team to learn from the Playboy experts,” Pomerantz said, according to Haaretz.

“Hefner was very excited that there was a word [for bunny] in Hebrew – it proved that there is a cultural link between the Playboy brand and Israeli culture."

The Israeli Playboy will not be the American version merely translated into Hebrew. Yes, some of the English-articles from the original will be included, but the magazine will feature Israeli writers and Israeli models.

"It will be inspiring and broadcast quality and beauty," he said. "For me this is an opportunity to show the world the nice side of Israel, the culture here."

Pomerantz goes on explain that although the magazine will be “sexy” but “not about sex”.

Israeli Playboy will cover various aspects of Israeli culture including technology, gadgets, style, food, sports, politics, and economics.
