Seth Rogen & Paul Rudd Star in 2-Minute Super Bowl Ad
The comic actors appear in Samsung’s newest commercial
‘Knocked Up’ co-stars, Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd, will star in a special 2-minute Samsung commercial scheduled to air during the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl.
Rogen and Rudd, both Judd Apatow regulars, will instead be directed by famed ‘Iron Man’ helmer, Jon Favreau.
Samsung has not yet released a teaser for the 2-minute ad, but has announced that it’s called “The Big Pitch”, following “Rogen and Rudd on a quest to become the Next Big Thing.”
The theme of Samsung’s “Next Big Thing” began appearing in commercials last year. The ads were indirect attacks on Apple iPhones, claiming that “the next best thing in phones is already here.”
2013 Super Bowl ads are running $3.7-$3.8 million on average, which means that Samsung is spending upwards of $15 million for their 2-minute spot. Last year, Samsung ran a 90-second ad titled “A Thing Called Love” for the Galaxy Note.
