Museum Secrets: Inside the Israel Museum, Jerusalem premieres on March 21st
History Channel’s fascinating docu-series ‘Museum Secrets’ takes its’ viewers to Jerusalem’s Israel Museum this Thursday , March 21st to discover the Holy Land’s most cherished hidden treasures.
‘Museum Secrets’, currently in its’ third season, travels to a different extraordinary museum every episode, “revealing the stories of 6 irreplaceable treasures, probing familiar legends and assumptions, using cutting edge research and technology to investigate the unknown,” according to the official website.
‘Museum Secrets: Inside the Israel Museum, Jerusalem,’ explores the museums’ extensive collection of biblical and Holy Land archeology.
A press release describing the exciting episode promises to “investigate a heel bone with a nail through it that could change the accepted image of Christ’s crucifixion; open a vault that contains an ancient coin, revealing how a Jewish rebel nearly defeated the mighty Roman Empire; search for the villainous King Herod; descend into the tomb of the Virgin Mary to discover why it contains a sacred Muslim symbol; uncover a secret kept for centuries by the citizens of a seaside Jewish town; and discover what an ancient amulet has in common with a science fiction character known as Mr. Spock”
