Riff Raff Seeks Revenge Against James Franco Gangsta Style… on a Soap Opera
The rapper will play an art curator named ‘Jamie Franko’ on ‘One Life to Live’
Rapper Riff Raff has a bone to pick with ‘Spring Breakers’ star, James Franco. Luckily, instead of settling it on the streets, he’s going after Franco in a playing field he’s familiar with… soap operas.
In Harmony Korine’s ‘Spring Breakers,’ Franco plays Alien, a cornrow wearing, gold grill flashing gangsta. Riff Raff claims that Alien was based on him, while Franco insists that although similarities are evident, he was mostly inspired by another rapper, Dangeruss.
Now Riff Raff will be seeking revenge by playing the character ‘Jamie Franko’, a Miami art dealer, in daytime’s ‘One Life to Live’ for one episode on May 7th.
Riff Raff is already promoting his daytime debut by tweeting a Vine he created called “$1,000,000 RiFF RAFF & JAMES FRANKO ART WORK” seen below.
Good thing the real Franco has a great sense of humor, especially when it comes to soap operas. While he was being nominated for Academy Awards, teaching at Colombia University, writing poetry, and curating international art exhibits, he was also a regular guest star on ‘General Hospital’ from 2009-2012 playing an artist/serial killer named… Franco.
