Rebecca Black Impresses With Cover of Rihanna’s ‘Stay’ [VIDEO]

The ‘Friday’ singer seems to have matured… and taken vocal lessons

Rebecca Black, the young teenager that took the Internet by storm with the music video for the song everyone loved to hate, ‘Friday’. The song that featured a combination of flat and childish vocals and uninspired with a record number of forced rhymes somehow managed to acquire millions of YouTube views and make Black a household name.

Here’s the kicker: no one ever expected Black to return a few years later with actual talent. We may never know if she’s simply matured, taken singing lessons, or discovered that she can deliver strong vocals if she sings someone else’s well-written tune, but it seems Black is back and perhaps to “stay”?

In her new YouTube video, Black is joined by friend Dave Days, to perform a simple acoustic version of Rihanna’s ‘Stay’ with Mikky Ekko.

Rebecca Black is not incredible by any means, but she is proving to haters that she’s definitely not as terrible as once believed.
