Porn star, James Deen, has made it very clear that he has no intention of jumping the porn ship for a permanent residence in Hollywood. Deen has been receiving a lot of attention from mainstream media for his role in Paul Schrader’s upcoming controversial film, ‘The Canyons’. The indie drama has created quite a stir for it’s choice to cast Lindsay Lohan (and supporting stories outlining what a disaster she was on set), seemingly dark and seedy trailer imagery, and promise for sex and sin. It turns out it was these very reasons that Deen decided to go “mainstream”.

In a recent interview with the New York Post, Deen explained that he was interested in “making a good movie and not bowing to the capitalist theory of Hollywood.”

He goes on to insult one of Hollywood’s favorite directors, Michael Bay.

“You make that mass-produced, Hollywood blockbuster crap, you end up with Michael Bay’s ‘Tranformers 11’… he’s garbage, but his movies make lots of money,” Deen added.

Deen wanted to make it clear that his choice to join Schrader’s film was not a move away from porn.

“People talk to me like this is my big crossover to the mainstream. Absolutely not,” Deen told the Post. "I have no desire to leave porn."
