Andy Samberg Joins Comedy Central’s James Franco Roast
The ‘SNL’ alum and Aziz Ansari join the already impressive celebrity roasters
Andy SambergComedy Central is not holding back on the celebrity funnymen (and women) for the upcoming Roast of multi-hyphenate, James Franco.
Franco’s ‘This is the End’/’Freaks & Geeks’ co-star, Seth Rogen, is scheduled to be the Roast Master for the event, with Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Nick Kroll, Natasha Leggero, Jeff Ross, and Sarah Silverman already scheduled as roasters.
On Wednesday, two more hilarious comic actors were added to the impressive group: ‘SNL’ alum, Andy Samberg, and ‘Parks and Recreation’ star, Aziz Ansari.
The Comedy Central Roast of James Franco will be filmed on August 25 and is set to air on Labour Day Monday, September 2nd at 10 p.m.
Over the last ten years, Comedy Central has roasted Pamela Anderson, William Shatner, Charlie Sheen, Roseanne Barr, Denis Leary, and others.
Andy Samberg can next be seen as Jake Peralta on new sit-com ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ and as the voice of ‘Baby’ Brent in ‘Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2’.
