‘Dunhaming’: A New Trend Encourages You to Discover Yourself Through Becoming Lena Dunham [VIDEO]
Writer/Director Amanda Smith releases new ‘Girls’ parody on FunnyorDie.com

Since the beginning of time, human beings have attempted every possible technique, belief system, strategy, and self-help audio book in hopes of discovering their true selves. As it turns out, this intimate process of self-realization could be as simple as moving to Brooklyn, befriending a Brit, and walking around half-naked. Or at least that’s what Amanda Smith’s new Funny or Die ‘Girls’ parody suggests.
In the ‘Dunhaming’ trailer, Smith’s parents suggest that she become more like Lena Dunham in order to be successful, leading to 3 minutes and 30 seconds of Smith and her friends acting intentionally obnoxious, narcissistic, and awkward, in an odd attempt to discover themselves through becoming someone else.
Although the “Dunhaming” trailer is for a show that is actually “Coming Never”, it is worth the watch now. If you’re a ‘Girls’ fan, see if you can pick out all the show references.
