Two of Steven Spielberg’s brood, Theo Spielberg, 25, and Sasha Spielberg, 23, have signed a management deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. The DJ duo, known as Wardell, released their first EP, The Brother and Sister EP this spring with UK indie label National Anthem, featuring the song “Opossum”. The band has become increasingly in demand, performing for instance at Teen Vogue’s Young Hollywood Party, celebrating the publication’s 11th anniversary on September 27th.

In addition to her musical aspirations, Sasha has appeared in a number of films, including her father’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Munich, and The Terminal. Recently, she sold a pilot to ABC called Girls Without Boys, co-written with Emily Goldwyn (daughter of producer John Goldwyn), and Rashida Jones acting as executive producer. The pilot, described as, “three brilliant but socially challenged girls navigate the world outside of single sex education with the help of their eccentric teachers and parents”, is currently in pre-production.

“"But music is still my passion. I am going to find a way to balance both," Sasha told The Hollywood Reporter.

Wardell is currently working on their full-length album, which is scheduled for release sometime in 2014. Take a gander below at the band performing “Opossum” live in Los Angeles in March.
