Lea Michele Emotionally Sings Goodbye to Cory Monteith in ‘Glee’ Tribute Promo [VIDEO]
FOX has released a very sad promo clip for the upcoming Cory Monteith tribute episode
The highly anticipated ‘Glee’ tribute episode to the late Cory Monteith is set to air on October 10th. In preparation, Fox has released a short, emotional clip featuring Lea Michele singing a cover of Bob Dylan’s ‘Make You Feel My Love’.
Michele, the real life and fictional boyfriend to Monteith, belts the tragically sad song while co-stars are seen setting up a memorial outside Finn’s locker. The episode, entitled ‘The Quarterback’ is expected to be an emotional rollercoaster for both the cast and fans of the show.
‘Glee’s’ co-creator, Ryan Murphy, recently spoke with TheWrap about the tribute episode, sharing that it was “incredibly difficult to work on.”
"Almost everything in that episode is from the first take of every performance, because the actors and the crew had a really hard time shooting it. I've never seen a crew where you can't continue shooting because they left the room sobbing," Murphy said.
"It was very hard, and I struggled even working on it, because you're seeing what they felt about not just Finn, but Cory. So I think it's amazing performances across the board, and everybody went into it with a lot of love."
The promo clip, featuring several snippets of Michele crying in the arms of Matthew Morrison’s character Will Schuester, flashes the words “The hardest word to say… is goodbye.”
