'Big Bang Theory’ actress, Mayim Bialik, gave Kveller readers an exclusive sneak peek into her upcoming cookbook, ‘Mayim’s Vegan Table,’ on Friday.

‘Mayim’s Vegan Table,’ scheduled for a February launch, will feature 100 of Bialik’s favorite vegan recipes.

“It contains all of the recipes Kveller readers have been asking me to share as well as the recipes that I most frequently make for my family that no one complains about,” Bialik writes on Kveller.

“I also feature recipes I make for non-vegans which they don’t complain about and often remark, ‘THIS is vegan!? I never would have guessed!’ To me, that’s a compliment.”

Bialik explains that “the fear people have of weird dry crumbly gross vegan food us not a reality, and as the cook and restaurant industry have been reflecting, if done right, vegan food can be fantastic.”

The Jewish actress shares that her grandmother and mother first sparked her love for cooking and baking. She continues to make her family’s traditional Jewish dishes, but with a modern, vegan spin.

“I love turning traditional Jewish foods vegan without sparing the deliciousness or ‘heimishe’ taste of so many dishes I grew up with: rugelach, babka, sufganiyot, latkes, tzimmes, kugels, hamantaschen… I could go on and on, but suffice it to say that just because I am vegan, it doesn’t mean I don’t want to still make delicious food that suits all of my ethnic and gustatory needs, as well as those of my friends and family.”

Bialik’s new book, with contributions from Dr. Jay Gordon, will also offer many suggestions for children. Parents constantly struggle with raising kids that enjoy eating healthy food. Bialik’s recipes promise to make eating well fun and easy.

‘Mayim’s Vegan Table’ is available for pre-order on Amazon.
