Green Goblin on Broadway in 'Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark'

KISS legend, Gene Simmons, may swap his black and white demo makeup for emerald green body paint in the coming months.

On Wednesday, Simmons took to Twitter to share the exciting news that he was offered the villainous role of the Green Goblin in Broadway’s ‘Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.’

“Thank you, Michael Cohl for offering me the role of the Green Goblin on the Broadway production of #spiderman,” he tweeted.

Green Goblin and his band of super villains are Spiderman’s worst enemies. The plot of the Julie Taymor-directed stage production sees the superhero protect New York City from the Green Goblin’s attempts to take it down, while simultaneously learning about his new found powers and falling in love with the beautiful girl-next-door, Mary Jane Watson.

If Simmons accepts the role, he will be replacing Broadway veteran Robert Cuccioli.
