Earlier this year, Norwegian comedy duo Ylvis released ‘The Fox’, a comedic music video that took the world by storm. It’s amassed over 250 million views and features a strange combination of melodic singing, grown men in animal costumes, and attempts to answer the age-old question “What does the fox say?”
Just in time for Thanksgivukkah, Blueye Productions has released a Jewish parody of Ylvis’ hit. Only this time, instead of questioning the sound effects that come from one of our favorite small omnivorous mammals, we explore the strange, and sometimes stereotypically obnoxious, things our mothers say.
While the fox might say “Ring-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding!”, “Wa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pow!” or “Hatee-hatee-hatee-ho!”, according to this latest music video, your mom says “I gave birth now do the dishes”, Stop your smooching, is she Jewish?” and “Oy-yoy, yoy-yoy, yoy-yoy, yoy-yoy”
