Gal Gadot to Play Wonder Woman in ‘Batman vs. Superman’
The 28-year-old actress is best known for her role as Gisele in three of the 'Fast & Furious' films.
Israeli born actress, Gal Gadot has been cast as Wonder
Woman, in the hotly anticipated Batman
Vs. Superman, directed by Zack Snyder. Ben Affleck will play Batman/Bruce
Wayne, Amy Adams has been cast as Lois Lane, and Henry Cavill will reprise his
role as Superman/Clark Kent, fresh off the success of this year’s Man of Steel (also directed by Snyder).
“Wonder
Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a
fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she
also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look
forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of
this beloved character,” Snyder said in a statement.
Gadot is perhaps best known for her role as Gisele, in three Fast & Furious films, including 2013’s Fast & Furious 6. She also appeared in Date Night and Knight and Day. Batman vs. Superman will hit theaters on July 15, 2015.
