Nicholas Stoller, director of Get Him to the Greek and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, is back with another soon to be box-office-hit titled Neighbours. Starring Seth Rogen, Dave Franco, and Zac Efron, audiences can only expect unbridled, nonsensical humour on screen.
The premise of Neighbours only increases our intrigue. Knocked Up star Seth Rogen and Bridesmaid star Rose Byrne play a married couple that live a quiet and normal live with their daughter. Of course, all normalcy gets thrown out the window when Zac Efron and his frat buddies (including 21 Jump Street actor Dave Franco) move next door.
At first Rogen and Byrne try to keep their cool but their patience slowly starts to wear… until they one day call the police, making relations between the neighbours ten times worse. Pranks between the two neighbours steadily get bigger and bigger, starting with harmless inflatable objects to cutting the power during a fraternity rager.
According to Rogen Neighbours has a lot in store for audiences, particularly in regards to former High School Musical star Zac Efron.
“There's a scene where we're talking, where me and him were trying to bond, and we're talking about who Batman is to us. I'm talking about how to me Michael Keaton is Batman, and to him Christian Bale is Batman. And he whipped out this impression of Christian Bale as Batman that was really impressive. It's actually in the movie because it was so good. But again, I was like, 'F---, how many talents can one dude have?’,” Rogen told Yahoo! Movies.
If you’ve been waiting patiently to watch a baby accidentally gnawing on a condom, but haven’t yet been presented with the opportunity, this trailer is for you.
Watch Seth Rogen and Zac Efron become Neighbours on May 9, 2014.
