The iHeart Radio Music Festival has become of the most highly anticipated music events every year with international superstars ranging from Katy Perry to Adam Lambert performing.

This year, iHeart Radio has added a new event to the mix with the announcement of their first ever Music Awards, slated to feature performances just as huge as the festival itself.

Scheduled for May 1st in Los Angeles, NBC has announced some of the artists set to perform. Drake and Kendrick Lamar, who threw minor insults at each other earlier this year, will both headline the night, along with Pharrell, Pitbull, Shakira, Blake Shelton and Jared Leto’s 30 Seconds to Mars.

True to any music awards ceremony, prizes will be handed out in between performances in several categories including Best Collaboration, Best Lyrics, and Song of the Year.

Fans will decide the winners in every category based on votes collecting via Twitter, Facebook or iheartradio.com/awards.
