Mel Brooks has done it all; acting, writing, directing, producing, and the list goes on. But, the 87-year-old had one more thing to knock off his bucket list… a one-man stage show!

On April 28th, Brooks will appear in a solo autobiographical play at Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse. As with most of his endeavors, he will be directing, producing, writing, and acting in the “introspective retrospective” into his life and career.

The one-man show, which will be staged for one-night only, is presented as part of the Playhouse’s ‘Spotlight Entertainment’ series which also includes Bette Midler’s one-woman show ‘I’ll Eat You Last: A Chat with Sue Mengers’ and Neil Patrick Harris’ ‘Nothing to Hide’ magic show.

“What Mel wanted to do was to have a platform to tell some of these great stories that he has in an intimate fashion.” Kevin Salter, the show’s producer told the Los Angeles Times.

Tickets to the event, which only seats 500 at the Gil Cates Theater, is already sold out.
