The Ten Best Curb Your Enthusiasm Episodes

If you’re a fan of the hit show Curb Your Enthusiasm and are waiting for the newest season, then you may end up waiting a long time. It’s been announced that Larry David will be going to Broadway, and not like he did in season four, which will be putting a likely end to the show. Few details have been released concerning the play, however it was confirmed that it will open on the 5th of March, according to A.V. Club.

Although we’re sad to see the show come to what can essentially be deemed as an official end, or more than likely, it’s a great chance to see the show from start to finish if you haven’t already watched it. Larry David is essentially the quintessential Jewish comedian; he's never been one to shy away making fun of himself, or his people, and, through Curb Your Enthusiasm, he inserts himself into inappropriate, awkward, and feverishly hilarious situations. The fact that he acts only as the show's compass, allowing guest stars to improvise their lines and truly let them create their own characters, has worked wonders for the show and is a testament to his genius.

You've likely seen the show, however, Curb is the kind of stuff that merits multiple watches. If you're looking for the prime crop of the litter, the real creme de la creme, then look no further, my friend.

We've got you covered.

10.

Episode: Larry vs. Michael J. Fox

Season: 8 (Episode 10)

Notable Guest Appearance: Michael J. Fox

When you think of unlikely scenarios, Michael J. Fox being accused of harassment is one of the things to top the list. What makes this episode particularly special (in addition to the fact that its essentially the series finale)? No one else in the film industry would conjure up an idea for a show where its premise is to poke fun at Parkinson's Disease. No one, of course, save for Larry David.

9.

Episode: The End

Season: 5 (Episode 10)

Notable Guest Appearance: Dustin Hoffman and Sacha Baron Cohen

If you were ever curious to see Dustin Hoffman and Sacha Baron Cohen play guardian angels, then this is the episode for you. Larry figures out whether he’s adopted, dies, meets two unlikely sources of guidance, and then pops back into his body. All in a day’s work.

8.

Episode: The Car Pool Lane

Season: 4 (Episode 6)

Notable Guest Appearance: Jorge Garcia, Kym Whitley

Like Seinfeld, Curb evokes those "do you ever wonder?" moments. Like, do you ever wonder if, to avoid traffic, you should have picked up that prostitute so you could use the car lane to get to the Dodgers game on time? Classic part is when Larry, his pops, and the prostitute all get baked. Naturally, Larry gets pretty paranoid.

7.

Episode: The Baptism

Season: 2 (Episode 9)

Notable Guest Appearance: Richard Lewis

This is one of the first episodes where Larry truly pokes fun at Jewish stereotypes, pitting Jews and Christians against each other after he heroically tried to save his sister-in-law's fiance - on whom a baptism was being performed on at the time - from drowning. The best part, of course, are the Jewish family members' (including the fiance's) reaction to his apparent 'heroics'.

6.

Episode: Officer Krupke

Season: 7 (Episode 8)

Notable Guest Appearance: Jerry Seinfeld

Cheryl spends the episode competing for a guest role on the Seinfeld reunion show. But the real winner here is when Larry confronts an officer of the law by the name of Krupke. In the end though, it's all Banana Republic's fault.
