‘High School Musical’ and ‘Sons of Anarchy’ actress, Ashley Tisdale has joined Camilla Belle and Lily Aldridge in designing limited edition t-shirts for September’s Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

“I had never designed a T-shirt before so I was really excited about it!,” Tisdale said.

The cause in question really hits close to home for Tisdale. Last year, she lost her grandfather to cancer, and is now dedicated to raising funds for research.

“My [husband Christopher French] and I produced a song together for the passing of my grandfather, and I wanted to donate the proceeds to St. Jude… We went to Memphis to visit the hospital, and having that experience and seeing the children, it was inspiring and beautiful.”

Tisdale’s grandfather isn’t the only person the actress has lost to cancer.

“I’ve had a couple of family members affected by cancer so it’s very near to my heart… My aunt Peggy passed a few months ago, and my grandmother thankfully survived breast cancer. It’s really scary. If I can do anything to help spread the word and spread awareness, I will.”

The “Join the Fight” t-shirts designed by Tisdale, Belle and Aldridge are now available at Velvet boutiques, www.Velvet-tees.com, and Revolve Clothing.
