Shia LaBeouf is becoming more famous for his quirky antics than for his film roles these days, and it looks like that isn’t about to change anytime soon. The 28 year old actor has recently announced on Twitter that he will be a part of a new performance art exhibition called “#Metamarathon” on Thursday at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, which is known for it’s modern and contemporary art.

Details on what the exhibit will entail haven’t been fully revealed yet, but the museum stated on its website that "Shia LaBeouf will embark upon a metamarathon around the perimeter of the Stedelijk Museum. Visitors are invited to participate. Running shoes optional."

Additionally, LaBeouf himself added to the confusion by cryptically tweeting a definition of the word “run” on Sunday Sept. 21st. The Tweet read, "RUN: to move swiftly on foot; to PROCESS or execute a PROGRAM or instruction; an unbroken series of PERFORMANCES." The tweet was accompanied by a picture of LeBeouf running in a pair of purple spandex leggings. On Monday, Sept. 22, he announced: "#METAMARATHON at the @Stedelijk Amsterdam 09.25.14."

Fans will know that this isn’t the first time that LaBeouf has participated in performance art. Back in February he made headlines when he showed up to the Berlin premiere of his new movie, the Lars von Trier directed Nymphomaniac, with a paper bag over his head. The bag had the words “I Am Not Famous Anymore” written on it in black sharpie. Later the same month, LaBeouf appeared, once again with a bag over his head, at a free art exhibition in Los Angeles titled “#IAMSORRY”, where he sat silently at a table across from complete strangers and cried. Who knows what bizarre antics he has in store for us next.
