The world continues to mourn the loss of comedy great, Robin Williams. In his honor, Williams’ favorite baseball team, the San Francisco Giants, invited Billy Crystal and Zak, Zelda, and Cody Williams (Robin’s children) to throw out the first pitch at Sunday’s game.
At the beginning of the Giants game against the Kansas City Royals, Zak Williams threw out the first game pitch to Williams’ co-star and close friend, Billy Crystal.
All three of Williams’ children appeared on the field wearing Giants jerseys with “Williams” emblazoned on the back.
“We are honored to be here in tribute to our father, someone who loved his hometown and especially the Giants. For all of us, it is a tremendous delight and a little surreal to throw out the ceremonial first pitch of a World Series game for our team to our dad’s best friend,” Zak, Zelda and Cody said in a statement.
“We could not think of a better way to celebrate his memory,” they added.
