Jerry Seinfeld has been quite the trend in the media this week. He recently expressed that college campuses are becoming too politically correct (PC), and was reported to have encouraged Hugh Jackman to back out from doing the next Wolverine film.
Just as the 6th season of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee takes off, Seinfeld continued to harp on his point about the hypersensitive PC generation on last night’s episode of Late Night with Seth Myers. He was accompanied by New Yorker editor, David Remnick, who also voiced his experiences with political correctness.
Seinfeld talks about a joke he made about how White people are constantly on their cellphones, “scrolling through them like a gay French king.” He explains that the public was outraged by this comment, and did not deem this politically correct.
Moreover, Remnick discusses a controversial cartoon that was released on the New Yorker’s cover page some time ago, which he had to explain to the public on Cable News Network (CNN).
The three personalities then discuss the recent announcement of Caitlyn Jenner’s transition, in addition to the political correctness that accompanies it.
“There’s a creepy PC thing out there that really bothers me,” said Seinfeld.
