You could say that Amy Schumer was already performing good deeds - what with her never-ending comedic awesomeness. Making people laugh is a kind of mitzvah, right?

Regardless, her comedy routines probably don’t compare to the what the comedienne did a few weekends ago at a Long Island restaurant, where she left a $500 tip for one lucky waiter.

According to the restaurant’s manager, Schumer didn’t order much at Peter’s Clam Bar. In fact, she apparently had “a cup of soup and a couple of appetizers”. Those must have been some tasty food items if she left such a huge tip, right? Perhaps not. According to the Post, Schumer and her server, Ryan, got along really well. The two shared a supposedly “engaging, animated conversation”, focused on Ryan’s life as a college student working two jobs to foot the bill.

Schumer racked up a mere $49 bill at Peter’s Clam Bar, making her $500 tip a whopping 1000 percent tip.

Notably, before her own big break, Schumer previously worked waitressing and bartending jobs in between auditions. Perhaps the Inside Amy Schumer star recalled a time, in her own past, when she could have used a $500 tip.
