In honour of Movember, we look at Jews who knew how to rock the 'stache

Billed as “Changing the Face of Men’s Health”, every November “Movember” sees the sprouting of facial hair under the lips of men around the world. And, it’s far from a frivolous activity, with men using their new and often unusual moustaches to raise funds and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer and male mental health initiatives.
And, when it comes to facial hair, few cultures are so closely identified by beards than are the Jews, but we are a people who can also cultivate some pretty impressive hair above the ears, too. So, in honour of Movember, Shalom Life is proud to present to you, the “Top Ten Jewish Mustaches of All Time.”
The Comedian: Groucho Marks - Perhaps no Jew is more closely associated with a mustache than Julius Henry "Groucho" Marx. Still regarded as one of the best and most quick-witted comedians of the modern era, Groucho was the undisputable leader of the “family business”, in which he was joined by brothers Chico and Harpo. The troika enjoyed success in Vaudeville, Broadway, and motion pictures from the early 1900s to 1950 and five of the Marx Brothers’ thirteen feature films were selected by the American Film Institute as among the top 100 comedy films. Groucho’s signature greasepaint mustache and eyebrows became so much a part of American culture that it even spawned one of the world’s most highly recognizable novelty disguises, known as "Groucho glasses", a one-piece mask consisting of horn-rimmed glasses, large plastic nose, bushy eyebrows and mustache.
The Artist: Salvador Dali – One of the most influential painters of all time, Salvador Dali was known for his grandiose behavior and eccentric manner, which can explain how he could pull off one of the greatest moustaches of all time. So next time you see one of Dali’s surreal painting, remember that they had nothing on his moustache.
The Genius: Albert Einstein – When you’re the smartest guy in the room, you don’t need to bother with how you look, or at least that’s what we figure Einstein’s greatest, unknown theory was. The uncombed hair, mismatched socks, and that wild moustache made Einstein a legend. Well, that and his theory of relativity, his establishment of quantum theory, and the Nobel Prize. But mostly, it was his moustache.
