Ahmadinejad Claims Western Sanctions Have Had Little Impact on Iran

To hear Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad tell it, the collection of Western sanctions placed on Iran’s economy by the West, has been little more than an inconvenience.

Then again, why would anyone doubt what Ahmadinejad – someone who proudly declares that the Holocaust never happened – says.

The Iranian rial lost close to 33 percent of its value his week, as many of Iran’s citizens, panicking with the ongoing talk about war with Israel, have een changing their savings into hard currency to avoid further depreciation.

At a recent news conference Ahmadinejad said his country's enemies were waging a "psychological war" against it, saying, "Enemies have managed to reduce our oil sales but hopefully we will compensate for this."
