It was an incredible week in the news, particularly here at Shalom Life. Jewish Top 10s: Influential LGBT Members

Over the last few decades, the quest to achieve equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered individuals has slowly come to fruition, particularly this year, as the first professional basketball player has come out, Ontario has its first openly gay premier, the United States Supreme Court has granted equal rights for LGBT members, and several other breakthroughs continue to take place in the ongoing struggle for justice and equality.

Jewish people have also had their share of influence on the LGBT community, which has merited this week's Jewish Top 10s list: Influential LGBT Members. The following individuals we review have achieved tremendous accolades for the LGBT community across various spectrums, from entertainment to politics.
