Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Other Spanish Celebrities Call Israeli Operation "Genocide"

The Hollywood couple signed a letter in Spanish condemning the IDF

Hollywood power couple Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem have added their name to a letter of Spanish artists condemning the IDF's Operation Protective Edge offensive in Gaza.

The couple are just two of the Spanish film stars and directors that supported a harsh denunciation of Israel’s operation in Gaza, calling it “a genocide.”

The letter says that the situation in Gaza is “is difficult to understand and impossible to justify. And it’s shameful that the Western stance is to allow such a genocide.”

The letter was published in many Spanish newspapers and called for Israel to lift its blockage on Gaza and has accused the international community of sitting idly by while the citizens of Gaza were subjected to destruction.

Interestingly enough, the letter makes no mention of the actions of Hamas, an internationally recognized terrorist group who are plotting and executing kidnappings and firing rockets at Israeli citizens.

It comes on the heels of a similar letter, written by a group of doctors and scientists who called Israel's actions "crimes against humanity" in a well-known medical publication, The Lancet.

Both seem to hold a clear biased perception of who the culprit is in Israel's war with Hamas terrorists.
