Hamas and Sharia Law "Have Taken Over U.C. Davis"

Swastikas painted on Jewish fraternity hours after anti-Israel measure passed at meeting where students chanted "Allahu Akbar"

What the hell are they serving to the students in California?

Considering the strong Jewish population in the Golden State, one would assume that young Californians are educated about Israel, aware of the complex challenges that surround it, and are close to its well-integrated Jewish friends.

But campus trends point all to the contrary.

Late last year, students at the University of California, Los Angeles decided to boycott, divest and sanction the State of Israel, citing that they'd divest from American companies that allegedly profit “from human rights violations in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.”

Good luck with that, and don't forget that Apple, Google, and Microsoft (to name a few) are among those companies.

At the University of California-Berkley, an Israeli filmmaker proved that people were more hostile towards Israel than they were to the Islamic State, through a chilling video that sparked the need to address the issue of anti-Israel and anti-Semitic behavior that's been thriving on campus.

While many of us hoped this wave of anti-Semitism (and anti-Zionism) on campus would be only a trend of 2014 - a year that saw its fair share of explicit anti-Jewish demonstration, recent unfortunate events at University of California, Davis, have proved otherwise.

During a vote last week on a BDS resolution of the State of Israel, proposed by known anti-Israel mongers Students For Justice in Palestine (a group that has been known to alienate and ostracize Jewish students and demonize Israel on campus) students reportedly heckled and verbally attacked Jewish students, as many of them shouted "Allahu Akbar," reports the Washington Free Beacon.

The incident took place Thursday as pro-Israel students were attempting to counter the student government resolution to join the BDS movement against Israel. Students waving Palestinian flags shouted at these Jewish students, after the resolution was passed with eight in favor, and two opposed.

Several "activists" then began to shout “Allahhu Akhbar!” at the pro-Israel students as they filed out of the meeting room at U.C. Davis. A very similar scenario erupted last year at the University of Ohio as well.

Afterwards, to add fire to the flames of anti-Israel hatred, a group of unknown students took to the Jewish AEPi fraternity house to vandalize it and spraypaint it with swastikas.

A member of the U.C. Davis student senate, Azka Fayyaz, then took it upon herself to post a photo onto her Facebook page, accompanied by this caption: “Hamas & Sharia law have taken over UC Davis.” (see above)

She continued with this post, stating “If a movement is not controversial, if no one is mad, its [sic] not strong enough & it’s not worth the fight. Israel will fall insha’Allah.”

These are the student representatives of University of California, Davis?

“BDS activism, anti-Semitism, swastikas, celebration of terror—these things are found together,” explained one Noah Pollak, executive director of the Emergency Committee for Israel. “The U.C. Davis administration should be deeply alarmed that a member of the student senate has openly endorsed Hamas, a U.S.-designated terrorist organization whose charter calls for the murder of Jews worldwide.”

Members of the AEPi frat house who awoke to swastikas on their door also commented on the wave of anti-Semitism on campus.

“Our U.C. Davis AEPi fraternity house was tagged with two swastikas, coming 24 hours after the deeply troubling actions on campus coming from those seeking to delegitimize Israel and her people,” a joint statement read written by AEPi leaders and alumni members.

While U.C. Davis Chancellor Linda P.B. Katehi was quick to state that the student vote does "not reflect the position of U.C. Davis or the University of California system,” it's still a frightening notion indeed to think that these are the future leaders of the United States.

In any event, we hope at the very least that Ms. Fayyaz will be reprimanded for her pro-Hamas stance. While they're at it, they should reprimand the 27 people who liked her Facebook post too.
