A teenager has been ordered by a UK court to pay compensation to British-Jewish businessman Lord Alan Sugar for directing an anti-Jewish tweet at Sugar this past January.
The 17-year-old, who's name cannot be revealed for legal reasons, called the Jewish Lord and television personality an "old, Jewish c***". The teen was ordered to pay 100 pounds ($109) in compensation and 85 pounds ($93) in costs, and was instructed to complete an 8 month referral to a youth offender panel.
The teen admitted to posting the tweet, which likely helped to reduce the consequences for the offensive tweet.
The Lord has this to say following the ruling:
One of my Twitter racial abusers was convicted yesterday at Chelmsford Magistrates Court.Very well done @EssexPoliceUK for tracking him down
