A few months ago, we got wind that Wix, the Tel Aviv-based website design and development company, would be the second Israeli company to advertise during the Super Bowl, following Soda Stream who created quite a ruckus with its 2014 campaign featuring Scarlett Johansson.

Now we've learned that the company - read our interview with Vice President of Marketing, Omer Shai here - has recruited some five former NFL all stars to appear in the ad, which will air during the iconic game's broadcast come February 1st. The game will be played at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Other companies that have purchased airtime during the big game - which can run you millions of dollars for a single minute - include Microsoft, Budweiser, Nike, Verizon and Visa.

The half time show will be headlined by Katy Perry.

Wix will be advertising its new campaign, #ItsThatEasy, which friendly illustrates its easy-to-use software for people looking to create websites, whether personal, business, blog, etc. In the short Super Bowl ad, five NFL greats, including Brett Favre, Terrell Owens, Emmitt Smith, Larry Allen and Franco Harris, will reportedly try out new and exciting ventures, outlining how 'easy' it is for them to do something that isn't football.

In addition to the ad, Wix will also be releasing five websites created for each particular NFL player - thus far, we know for sure that Owens will try his hand at being a chef - leading up to the Super Bowl. Fans will even be able to buy merch on the sites, and learn more about Wix.

Pretty innovative marketing, though you wouldn't expect any less from the thriving Israeli startup. Watch the short ad where Terrell Owens tries out cooking below. You'll have to catch the rest on Feb. 1st.
