If you had any reservations about who you should root for during today’s 4pm EST World Cup match between Germany and Algeria, let us make it easy for you.

Germany has announced that their respected football club will play a friendly match in Israel on March 25th, 2015 – to take place either in Haifa or Jerusalem – to celebrate fifty years of diplomatic and peaceful relations between them and Israel, reports the Associated Press.

German Football Federation president Wolfgang Niersbach stated that the match is yet “another signal for the close ties” between the two.

Following the game, Germany will travel to Georgia for a Euro 2016 qualifying match, on March 29th.

Speaking of Euro Cup qualifiers, experts claim Israel’s chances of advancing have never been higher. While they will face Belgium, an up-and-coming team who is facing the United States tomorrow in the World Cup tournament, the other competitors placed in Group B include Bosnia and Herzegovina, Wales, Cyprus, and Andorra.

Thus far, Germany has placed two times in Israel, winning both times. Israel has visited Germany twice as well, losing both times.
