Glassdoor Reveals the Top 25 Highest-Paying Internships

When there’s internships like these, who needs a job?

Glassdoor, a website which looks at employee earnings and company reviews, has compiled a list of companies that compensate their interns quite generously.

To be candid, in a competitive industry where most internships are unpaid, and the average job pays $14 an hour, this list will make you seriously reevaluate your life decisions.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, 18 of the 25 companies on the list are based out of San Francisco. If the monthly figures listed were an representative of an annual salary, some of these interns would be earning more than the U.S. annual median.

Also unsurprisingly, technology companies seem to compensate the most. So while you’re trying to figure out where it all went wrong, I’d suggest you polish up on those computer skills.

Palantir, a computer software and services company based out of Palo Alto and co-founded by entrepreneur Stephen Cohen, tops the list, paying their interns a whopping $7,012 on average.

Following are vmware, founded by Diane Green and Mendel Rosenblum, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Microsoft.

You’d think with all the money Zuckerberg has dished out to acquire WhatsApp, not to mention the fact that he was 2013’s highest-paid CEO and most generous philanthropist, he’d be higher on this list.

But I guess regarding the latter, he has been doing his fair share of mitzvah’s. Read the entire list below, via Glassdoor.
