That’s right, according to a statement on Google+, a “wider release” of Glass is coming.

The innovative internet-based entity has decided to go ahead with “a more open beta” for Glass, it’s Google+ page announces. This would allow from a more easily available product and a major consumer opportunity for retailers across the U.S.

According to Gizmodo, the decision comes following a one-off day last month which saw Google open its sales up to everyone in the United States.

Later, it was unofficially reported that this was going to be a permanent change within the coming weeks.

Costumers in the U.S. can now buy Google Glass in a variety of colors including charcoal, cotton, shale, sky, and tangerine. Titanium frames or shades are also available upon request and come free of charge.

Of course Glass is still a beta, and continues the Explorer Program. What also remains is a weighty price: $1,500 a pair.

However, by making Glass available to more customers, Google has once again created quite the buzz. A buzz that will no doubt lead to impressive sales. Perhaps even poising a larger threat to consumer technologies from competitors like Apple.

What do you think? Will you be grabbing Google Glass?
