After an uproar from international community, the game where users drop bombs from jets is no longer available for download

An app on the Google Play store called “Bomb Gaza” has caused an uproar in the international smartphone-using community, with several users questioning how the company could allow such a game to be offered.
Amid the escalation, Google has now removed the game from its app store, though at this point it might be too little, too late.
“Please take this off the Play store. It is offensive and I am really let down that Google actually allowed this. If this game isn’t removed I’m starting a Google boycott,” wrote one user on the game’s review page.
“You disgust me,” wrote another.
Since it arrived on the Google Play store on July 29th, “Bomb Gaza” was downloaded over 1,000 times. The game finds users flying Israeli fight jets and dropping bombs on Gaza, while avoiding Hamas missiles and “killing civilians.”
In removing the game, Google has confirmed that the app violates its policies.
Bomb Gaza was developed by PlayFTW. While it was still available as an app via Facebook, it seems now that they’ve removed the page as well
“We remove apps from Google Play that violate our policies,” a spokesman for Google said, though not mentioning specifically which policy the game was violating.
Mind you, making a game out of a war and bloodshed, mocking those innocents who have lost their lives on both sides, is violation enough.
Mashable reports that another game is circulating the Google Play store which also mocks the conflict between Israel and Hamas, called “Gaza Assault: Code Red.”
That game has also been removed.
Curiously, games called “Iron Dome” and “Hamas Rockets” are still available for download via Google’s app store.
