Israel’s Simple Parenting Introduces One Step Car-Seat-to-Stroller Product, Parents Rejoice

‘The Doona’ can transform from car seat to stroller with ease by unfastening one clip

Yoav Mazar, founder of the Israel-based Simple Parenting, had a mission: to make the lives of new parents a little easier.

Mazar stated, “When my wife and I had our first daughter, we felt the need to spend as much quality time with her and took her everywhere. While we understood the importance of protecting her, the day-to-day use of infant car seats and strollers was agonizing.”

His vision recently came to life with the unveiling of The Doona, named after his daughter Danielle, an all-in-one product that transforms from a car seat to stroller with the flick of a clip.

Weighing in at a mere 15lbs (feather light compared to the combined weight of a separate buggy and car seat), The Doona has legs and wheels that fold underneath easily, transitioning from a stroller to car seat in a single motion.

While The Doona is guaranteed to simplify the lives of parents everywhere, it’s especially handy for those on the go: it can be easily operated by one person while out on a busy day, and fits comfortably in the trunk of even small compact cars.

This ingenious device currently costs around $500 US, comes in seven colors, and is sure to be at the top of every baby shower registry in the years to come.

Mazar seems to have done the impossible, but the Israeli inventor always believed that ease of mobility for parents and children was crucial.

His goal, he said was “to transform the infant car seat into something safe yet simple and practical.”
