As most people are probably aware, actor James Franco is currently doing Of Mice and Men, his Broadway debut. However, it seems as though the 36-year-old actor is not quite finished with Broadway just yet. Recent news has revealed that Franco is prepared to take matters into his own hands and direct his own off-Broadway okay.

Franco’s choice for his next directing endeavor involves Robert Boswell’s The Long Shrift, about a man accused of rape and forced to live out a nine-year prison sentence. Things are looking up until his accuser shows up in his life again.

Boswell’s websites gives us details into the cast of The Long Shrift. Starring Scott Haze, Ahna O’Reilly, Brian Lally, Allie Gallerani and Ally Sheedy, the play is scheduled to run shows between July 13, 2014 and August 23, 2014. Scott Haze has previously worked with Franco in some of his prior directing endeavors such as Child of God and As I Lay Dying.

How The Long Shrift will turn out is anyone’s guess. For now, however, Franco is still performing on stage alongside Chris O’Dowd, Leighton Meester, Jim Norton and Jim Parrack.
