Jamie Geller And Tom Franz Explore The Bible’s Superfoods
Two of Israel’s most renown Kosher chefs explore biblical foods in the City of David

Jamie Geller, acclaimed author of “The Joy Of Kosher Cooking,” has paired up with Israel’s Master Chef winner Tom Franz. The pair have begun chronicling what they call “the seven superfoods of the Bible,” or the seven species, in a trio of videos.
According to The Times Of Israel, the pair recently their second episode of the series after meeting in the City of David for a cooking show. Franz prepared a meal using selected ingredients from the biblical list of superfoods to make a smoked salmon Waldorf salad and flatbread.
Franz is originally from Germany and worked a lawyer until he decided to move to Israel and convert to Judaism, then began specializing as a Kosher chef.
Geller, on the other hand, is often considered to be the Jewish Rachael Ray, with her cookbook having sold in the tens of thousands. She’s also CEO of her own Kosher Media Network which is perhaps the most globally recognized Kosher brand in the world.
The first episode of the series, which The Times of Israel reports aired on Geller’s Kosher Media Network, explored the archaeology of their cooking spot in the City of David, while the third (and final) episode featured a sala using the seven species designed by Franz.
