MTV Announces Movie Award Nominations

MTV has announced nominations for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. A number of Jewish actors are up for awards, including Zac Efron, Logan Lerman and Ben Stiller.

Newcomer Logan Lerman is up for two awards. He’s up against Up in the Air’s Anna Kendrick, Chris Pine, Gabourey Sidibe, Quinton Aaron and Zach Galifianakis in the Best Breakout Star category. The 18-year-old star of Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief is also up for a Best Fight award along with his co-star, Jake Abel.

Zac Efron, who starred in the three High School Musical movies, is nominated in the Best Male Performance category for the comedy 17 Again. Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is also up for an award in that category.

Comedian Ben Stiller, who’s been nominated for more than 10 MTV Movie Awards throughout his career, is nominated in the Best Comedic Performance category for his role in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.

The MTV Movie Awards airs live on June 6. For a complete list of nominees, visit www.mtv.ca.
