Obama to host Netanyahu at White House
Meeting is an attempt by Obama to restart the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accepted an invitation to the White House on May 20th for talks with U.S. President Barack Obama.
The meeting is reportedly an attempt by the president to restart the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.
According to a statement released by the White House, "The leaders look forward to discussing the full range of issues of mutual interest to the United States and Israel."
Prime Minister Netanyahu will also be in Washington on May 21st to speak at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee's annual conference. Netanyahu is also slated to address the U.S. Congress in a joint meeting on May 23rd, during which he is expected to outline his plans for peace with the Palestinians.
